RN Program Manager Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 (35 Hours, Hybrid) Boston, MA SUMMARY OVERVIEW • The Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse (RN) who functions as a supervisor, health care provider, educator, consultant, leader, nurse case manager to support the overall department operations and ensure optimal client care and services. • Responsible for supervising a group of Registered Nurses (RN) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate all functions of the department. • Provides orientation and training to new staff and instructs experienced staff on new procedures and informational changes • Directs the activities and provides clinical guidance related to the day to day operation of the Nursing Facility Comprehensive Screening and Service Model and Clinical Assessment and Eligibility screenings including Care Transition functions. • Ensures the department operates in full regulatory compliance with all State, Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA), and Federal regulations along with Agency policies and applicable standards, practices and Nurse Licensure regulations. • Serve as the primary contact for EOEA for the CSSM program and will work closely with Program Director, Home Care, Quality Assurance and other Agency departments. • This position will assist in supervising all CAE / CSSM RN's, Program Coordinators, Community Transition Care Coordinator and department Administrative Assistants in order to meet all program standards, goals and objectives. • The Nurse Manager coordinate's staff schedules, assignments, communication between nurses and serves as Direct Care Program Staff Supervisor and Program Manager providing support to fellow Program Director, BSHC staff, Nurses, Consumers and families for all department challenges and needs. • Ensures that medical and clinical care needs are identified and formally included in the care management plan, and serves as the lead in troubleshooting issues in collaboration with Program Director, Case Manager, Direct Care Program Staff Supervisor and applicable RN so that client care plan objectives are achieved with positive outcomes. Collaborates with Direct Care Program Staff Supervisor, care managers and nurses to promote cost effective service plans, schedules, and appropriate determination of need and eligibility for special programs funded by EOEA, Mass Health, and/ or other community resources. • This position requires up to 25% travel. Must be able to travel as needed in the community to perform Consumer visits in homes (may have limited accessibility) and facilities: Adult Day Health centers, Nursing Facilities and Acute Care settings. REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Human Services and at least three years of experience, one of which must have been in a community setting and at least one year of supervisory, administrative, or managerial experience; or an Associate's Degree in Nursing • Five years of experience with two years of community based nursing or long term care direct services experience. • A valid Registered Nurse's license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a Class 3 Motor Vehicle license. • Knowledge of Psychiatric, Mental Health, Geriatric Nursing, disabilities and the aging process.
