Lab Manager Excellent perm role. Must have hands on experience to mentor and train as needed but also has supervisory experience in order to oversee Lab Assistants. You should flexibility in hours. Monday-Friday (9:00am-5:00pm) Primary responsibilities: • Responsible for overall operation and administration of the clinical laboratory. • Directs and coordinates daily activities in the clinical laboratory. • Maintains and enforces strict quality assurance in all aspects of testing and laboratory facilities. • Has thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance standards. • Keeps laboratory documentation and records up to date. • Oversees training of laboratory personnel. • Performs regular auditing of facilities and procedures. • Responsible for cost calculations, capacity planning and staffing. • Interfaces with non-lab Operations, Customer Support and Clinical Affairs. • Coordinates and prepares data for surveys and inspections. Accompanies regulatory and accrediting agency inspectors and surveyors during reviews. • Oversees implementation of new procedures. • Communicates effectively and fosters teamwork and mutual respect. • Experience with most (preferably all) of the following technologies: o PCR and qPCR o Next-generation sequencing o Liquid handling systems o Capillary electrophoresis: Sanger sequencing and fragment analysis o Integrated laboratory information management systems (LIMS) Requirements: Ph.D. and/or Medical Technologist certification (ASCP) and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Salary 75 to 95k
