HR Generalist

Northfield, NH

Great Human Resources Generalist role with solid company. This person will be responsible for all HR activities to include: the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Workday, associate communications, employment, orientation, employee relations, and compliance efforts,. This person will be an active member of the overall HR team and provide input on key location initiatives reporting to the Human Resource Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Provide HR support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment, associate record management, associate relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, AA/EEO, and special projects. Lead the employment effort to recruit and fill hourly positions in an efficient and effective manner with the best qualified talent. Assist with the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position. Act as an ambassador/advocate for employees to build strong two-way communication and ensure associates have the opportunity to bring ideas and concerns to the attention of leadership. Perform duties independently using established policies and procedures as a guide. Efficiently utilize Workday, resume tracking, and payroll systems to gain an understanding of how transactions are processed. Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbook, communications, and/or meetings. Prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organizational needs. Participate in policy review meetings and suggest changes to align employee needs with business objectives. Work with other members of the HR team to ensure consistent administration of all policies and practices. Be a catalyst for cultural advancement of the organization by consistently modeling a positive attitude, cooperative team spirit, and high integrity. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISON: 4 - 6 years HR generalist experience. Prior manufacturing, healthcare, or similar HR experience preferred. Recruiting experience a plus. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. General knowledge of various employment laws and practices. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. Ability to work with various departments to foster teamwork. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Skilled at gathering and analyzing information. Travel on occasion – project based. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
