Finance Administrative Coordinator

Our client a nationwide advocacy organization dedicated to helping individuals apply for and obtain Social Security Disability Insurance. In addition, they help Medicare beneficiaries navigate the complexities of their health insurance options in order to identify the best coverage possible based on their unique needs. Our mission is to expedite benefit claim processing for our clients and help to preserve or improve their financial well-being. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Call local Social Security offices to determine if our vendor attorneys are on record to ensure proper fee payments. Fax paperwork to local offices if needed and follow up to ensure receipt. • Assist accounts payable accountant in entering fee overpayments and remits to Social Security • Update company claims tracking system for insurance carrier overpayment and remittance information • Update company claims tracking system for Social Security award and fee information and Social Security cash receipt confirmations • Update Second Injury Fund database for cash receipt & invoice information • Coordinate ODAR travel reimbursement paperwork • Sending accounts receivable invoices & mailing accounts payable checks • Follow up with vendors to inquire about un-cashed checks • Filing for accounts payable and accounts receivable (daily deposits, vendor payables, etc). • Act as backup for facilities, kitchen and office supply inventory, and purchase orders when purchasing manager is out of office • Other duties as assigned GENERAL SKILLS: • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize; results oriented. • Excellent communication skills, especially within the Finance team. • Attention to detail and strict confidentiality with financial information are required. BUSINESS PARTNERING AND REPORTING: • Reports directly to the Controller • Maintains positive working relationships with all members of the Finance Team QUALIFICATIONS: • 2-3 years admin experience in a corporate environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook • Degree in accounting is not required, but accounting clerk experience is a plus. • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to execute action plans and meet deadlines
