Embedded Software Engineer

Rye, NH

Embedded Software Engineer works closely with other members of a cross-functional product development team. Primary responsibilities will be the design, implementation, and test of embedded software for a variety of different products related to the radiation detection and safety industry. • Assists in developing new products. • Collaborates with other engineers to develop embedded systems solutions that may be stand-alone or networked applications. • Capable of solving complex problems in creative and effective ways. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Required • BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent • Core skills in C/C++ concepts, design, and coding • Experience with real-time operating systems, Linux, and multi-threaded programming • Experience with I2C, SPI, GPIO, DMA, PWM, interrupts, JTAG, microcontrollers, microprocessors (e.g., ARM, AVR, DSP) • Experience with interprocessor communication Desired Qualifications • MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience • Prior experience in an embedded systems engineering role • 2-5 years of experience in developing and testing embedded firmware in C/C++ • Expertise with a variety of IDE’s (Eclipse, Code Composer Studio, Atmel Studio) • Experience with wireless communication stacks (802.15.4, WiFi, Bluetooth) • Experience with reading schematics and using hardware development equipment. E.g., Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, etc. $75-$110K
