Department Chair of Physical Therapy/Education

Fitchburg, MA

Provide leadership and select, train, develop, manage, and lead faculty and staff team members according to the guidelines provided by the Dean of Nursing& Health Sciences. • Maintain compliance with accreditation policies and procedures, including at least annual update of Systematic Evaluation Plan. • Teach up to nine credits per semester. • Plan and implement a program budget including personnel requirements, program expenses, and capital needs, in collaboration with the Dean of Nursing & Health Sciences. • Develop strategic partnerships with clinical sites for internships and employment opportunities for graduates • Participate in developing strategies to increase enrollment at both the Boston and Taunton campus. • Other responsibilities as determined by the Dean of Nursing & Health Sciences. Requirements • Master’s degree minimum is a must. • At least nine credits in Education to meet CAPTE requirements is a must. • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a clinical setting. • Experience in education theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation and outcome assessment, including the equivalent of nine academic (semester) credits of coursework in education foundations. • A current license/certification to practice in the jurisdiction where the program is located. • Didactic and/or clinical teaching experience. • Previous administrative experience in a clinical or academic setting required. • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. • Strong interpersonal skills with supervisor and staff populations. • Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
