Federal Proposal Writer

This is a perm role for someone who can write Federal proposals and format them as well as project manage the proposal process Preference is for a candidate living in MA, NH or RI but will consider those who would telecommute if they have a strong background Great team - Great opportunity! Facilitate and manage company proposal efforts from capture to submission; developing proposals ranging in size, and for a variety of public and private sector entities • Analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Task Order proposal requirements, create a complete and comprehensive compliance matrix, and develop a schedule with critical milestones • Collaborate with management to develop proposal strategies, assist with proposal pricing, and determine labor rates • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and deliver timely, compliant, and responsive solutions that address RFP requirements and client needs • Identify optimal strategic partners and subcontractors for opportunity pursuit • Keep all appropriate Business Development tools, collaboration sites, and gate reviews up to date with all relevant opportunity information, intelligence, team assignments, and progress • Develop proposal response including but not limited to writing or editing content provided by SMEs • Responsible for making sure the technical and business proposals are consistent and accurately adhere to all submittal requirements • Accountable for executing all relevant aspects within the Business Development life cycle • Provide process leadership and experience and contribute to process improvements • Create and manage a content library, maintain proposal documentation archive, resume archive, and past performance archive SKILLS • Knowledge of fundamental principles, Government terminology, and methodology of proposal development • Plan strategically and tactically, and communicate effectively • Manage short-term and long-term proposals of varying complexity • Solid interpersonal, oral presentation, negotiating, and influencing skills • Effective multi-tasking and flexibility to meet competing needs and sensitive deadlines • Ability to work with a wide range of technical professionals • Strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, supervisors, and co-workers • Demonstrated ability to write professional responses, emails, documents, and other appropriate business correspondence • Proven ability to manage proposal process with minimal supervision, ensuring all deadlines are met Strongly preferred: • Working knowledge of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and/or Shipley Associates processes • Proposal writing / preparation certification or specialized training • Knowledge of GSA schedules, FPDS, beta.SAM (formerly FBO), FedConnect, GovWin • Understanding of FAR / DFARs Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
