Life Sciences Business Development Manager

Job Description Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager near Billerica Pay is 80 to 90k with benefits This will be someone with 5-7 years Finance and Sales experience, preferably in the life science industry, for a full time challenging role in a fast growing medical device and pharmaceutical preclinical research organization. Ideal candidate will focus on data mining, Salesforce.com, and coordinating all sales metrics together with senior management and Finance. Data will be used to provide metrics and direction to the business dev This person will optimize territory penetration and sales targets. Seeking individual with demonstrated organizational and leadership experience with various marketing tools as well as SalesForce.com. Knowledge and understanding of direct cross selling techniques along with establishment of synergistic business to business partnerships and contract negotiations with both large (Fortune 500/1000) companies.as well as start-up and smaller organizations. Successful candidate must possess experience in managing an effective business development organization aligned with associated marketing and re-branding programs, and working with marketing to optimize and focus marketing campaigns. Essential Duties Coordinate weekly sales meetings and sales reports with sales representatives and Finance. Interface closely with Finance to support analysis of territories, book to bill ratios, and other required metrics within the sales organization for proper alignment and optimization of selling activities. Provide business development analytics and reporting of all business data within relevant platforms (Salesforce, other) and provide updates to senior management as requested. Work in team building and communication by supporting Department Heads and client interactions working closely with Project Management personnel. Assist in providing cost structures to optimize the quoting process/cost development tools. Provide continuous measurement to established forecasts. Overall responsibilities for coordinating all Sales activities including trade shows, speaking engagements, whitepapers and collateral literature, client visits, seminars, webinars, symposia, and corporate presentations. Maintain conformance with the quality mission statement and goals. Qualifications Seeking individual with BS or BA preferably in business management, with strong computer and analytical skills. MBA required. Self-motivated, confidential, organized, reliable, strong communicator, timely, and exceptional customer service skills for ensuring all management and customer requirements are met. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
