Marketing Assistant

Boston, MA

Our client in Boston is looking for a Marketing Administrative Assistant for a great opportunity – temp to possible perm Contribute to messaging to a variety of constituencies including: professionals, partners, and stakeholders primarily in early childhood education; Produce electronic and print communications including web site content, webcasts, webinars, social media tools, newsletters, brochures, and other vehicles; Manage the implementation of e-learning, outreach and other promotional activities; Support planning, communications and logistics for training events, meetings and conferences; Support collection and review of participant evaluation data regarding events and communication projects; Generate web analytics reports to monitor effectiveness of dissemination and promotion strategies. Track and maintain data related to events and communication efforts for regular reporting; Required Skills/Abilities Strong interpersonal skills and ability to promote and maintain effective verbal and written communication among colleagues and external partners; Demonstrated ability to create, compose and edit effective written communication materials in a timely manner; Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite 6 (CS56, Blackboard, WordPress, databases, e-mail systems, collaboration software, and ability to learn and master other computer technology/software programs as needed; Ability to take initiative, think ahead and follow tasks through completion on deadline; Ability to track and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a high workload environment; must be motivated, detail oriented and highly organized; Ability to document and write accurate meeting minutes; Sensitivity to culturally diverse staff and constituent population; Ability to process and protect confidential information in a professional manner. Education and Work Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field of study; Minimum 2 years successful and progressively responsible work experience in communications and marketing, 3-5 years preferred; Experience in supporting and coordinating the execution of events, communications, social media activities, marketing projects, and website content management; Media relations, organizational branding and other promotional experience a plus; Must have experience and demonstrated success in using an array of electronic media and web-based channels to communicate effectively with multiple constituencies; Experience in child development or in urban or low-income communities is a plus.
